Lydia Ran, MD

Presenting: Use of simulation-based education to improve resident learning and patient care in the medical intensive care unit: A randomized trial by Clara J Schroedl, MD
Lydia Ran, MD received her Bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering from Duke University and then went on to receive her Medical Doctorate at Drexel University. She completed her internal medicine residency training at Tufts University and is currently finishing her last year of Pulmonary and Critical Care fellowship and the University of Southern California. Dr. Ran's clinical interests include interstitial lung disease, pulmonary hypertension, and medical education. 

 

Arhant Rao, MD

Presenting: Massive Hemoptysis Simulation Curriculum Improves Performance by Melissa New, MD
Arhant Rao, MD, is a second-year pulmonary/critical care fellow at the University of North Carolina. He received his Bachelor's in Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, followed by his M.D. from Albany Medical College. He completed internal medicine residency and chief residency at Tufts Medical Center in Boston before moving to Chapel Hill. His research interests include mucous biology and medical education; his clinical interests are centered around airway diseases, especially asthma. In his spare time, he enjoys playing racket sports and the piano.
