Job Description

The Providence VA Healthcare System (PVHCS) is seeking a Pulmonary Section Chief. The PVHCS is one of the affiliated teaching institutions of The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. The successful candidate must qualify for a full-time medical faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. Minimum requirements include: board eligibility or certification in Pulmonary Medicine, strong clinical background in Critical Care, excellence in patient care and teaching, and a commitment to scholarly participation in the research programs at VA Providence and The Warren Alpert Medical School.  Experience in basic and laboratory sciences is highly desirable. It is preferred that the candidate’s research experience focus on Pulmonary, Critical Care or a closely related field. Candidates for the Associate Professor level must have a national reputation in the field. I would appreciate your help in making this vacancy known to any qualified and available individuals.
