APCCMPD Task Force on Advance Practice Provider Training

The Association of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine Program Directors (APCCMPD) is now accepting nominations for volunteer positions on the APCCMPD Task Force on Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Training.

Task Force Charge

The APCCMPD seeks members to participate in a task force focused on Advanced Practice Provider (APP) training in pulmonary, critical care medicine (CCM), and pulmonary critical care medicine (PCCM). As APP integration grows within our field, the APCCMPD must proactively explore how their evolving educational and training needs synergize with those of pulmonary, CCM, and PCCM fellowship programs. This task force will address the increasing importance of APPs in these specialties and develop recommendations for training and integration.

Eligibility

  • Current Training Program Director, Associate Program Director, or faculty member within an APCCMPD member program.
  • Experience integrating or developing a training pathway for APPs in pulmonary, CCM, or PCCM.

Time Commitment

  • Four to five one-hour virtual meetings between April and August 2025.

Required Nomination Material to be Submitted for the APCCMPD Task Force on APP Training

  • Up-to-date Biosketch or CV
  • Completed Online Conflict of Interest Disclosure Form (view APCCMPD Leadership COI Policy)
  • Statement that highlights your experience in developing or integrating training pathways for Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) in pulmonary, critical care medicine (CCM), or pulmonary critical care medicine (PCCM).
