The Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care, Allergy, and Sleep Medicine at MUSC is recruiting for a faculty member at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor with at least 5 years’ experience to serve as the Medical Director of Bronchoscopy and Interventional Pulmonology. In addition to serving as the Medical Director for Bronchoscopy and Interventional Pulmonology, this position will establish and oversee MUSC’s interventional pulmonary fellowship program and dedicate 50% effort toward performing pulmonary procedures. Opportunity to participate in the Hollings Cancer Center’s multidisciplinary lung cancer program, benign airway disorders clinic, and inpatient pulmonary/critical care is also available and to be determined based on the candidate’s background and interests.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in interventional pulmonary procedures, demonstrable leadership potential, and a passion to build and grow a dedicated interventional pulmonary service at MUSC. The candidate will be supported by the Division’s current team of highly regarded interventional pulmonologists. The candidate will become a member of the Thoracic Oncology Research Group and be expected to participate in ongoing research trials which include technology assessment of procedures related to interventional pulmonology. In addition, they will enjoy substantial support to engage in their own research.
